The main campus of the multi-campus National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), a public research university, is in Islamabad, Pakistan.

The university grants graduate and undergraduate degrees and professional and doctorate degrees. When it was first established in 1990, engineering colleges and schools were combined to meet the demand for commissioned officers. Later on, to advance science and technology in Pakistan, it was transformed into a public research university, with its main campus located in Islamabad.

NUST was established to offer Pakistani industry and rapid industrialization high-quality technical education. It did so by emulating the American university model and prioritizing laboratory instruction in applied science and engineering.

As one of Pakistan’s most prominent universities, it has since contributed significantly to the standardization of education in disciplines like engineering, mathematics, and technology. It is also well-known for its creativity and intellectual prowess. A National Science and Technology Park accredited by the International Association of Science Parks (IASP) is now under construction at the university. According to the QS World University Rankings, it was placed #74 among Asian universities.

Payment of Student Fees:

  • Students are required to pay the security deposit, first-semester fee, and admission processing cost in advance at the time of admission.
  • The NUST website will have the invoice/challan for the entrance fees, first-semester fee, and provisional selection letter available.
  • The tuition charge is due each semester. The cost of the course must be paid in full before the semester begins.
  • The cost per credit hour for the summer semester, course repeat, improvement, and deficient courses is Rs. 5000.
  • Throughout their time in school, all students are required to maintain copies of their paid bills.
  • For payments made from overseas, a “SWIFT Message” from the sender bank is necessary.

Payment of Student Fees:

  • According to the selection letter, the tuition cost for the first two semesters of the academic year will be deposited.
  • The tuition cost will then be paid via a challan form that the NUST Finance Directorate has generated.
  • At the time of admission, the admission processing fee and security deposit are due.
  • Retake of a course, improvement, or summer semester There is a $40 fee for each credit hour.
  • When sending money from overseas, a “SWIFT Message” from the sender bank is necessary.
  • Undergraduate BBA and BS Accounting & Finance students will be assessed a “Harvard Business School licensing fee” of USD 40 each year.

Fee Structure for National Students (In PKR):

  • Business students (with degrees in MBA, MS-HRM, EMBA, MS Logistics & Supply Chain Management, and MS Innovation & Entrepreneurship) will pay an annual “Harvard Business School licensing fee” of Rs. 22, 000.
  • Extra fees will be assessed at a rate of Rs. 2,700 every semester.
  • When sending money from overseas, a “SWIFT Message” from the sender bank is necessary.

Payment of Student Fees:

  • Students must pay the security deposit, admission processing fee, and full semester price in advance at the time of admission.
  • The NUST website will have the invoice/challan for the entrance fees, first-semester fee, and provisional selection letter available.
  • The tuition charge is due each semester. To be allowed to sit in the class, students must pay their fees in full before the semester begins.
  • The complete tuition fee will be assessed to the student for two academic years, or four ordinary semesters. If the student decides to pursue further study or research after the conventional degree period has ended, they will need to pay a Bench fee (register maintenance cost) of Rs. 10,000 per semester until the degree requirements are fulfilled.
  • Additionally, if a student needs to take any advanced courses after the allotted two years, they must pay the appropriate course charge. Throughout the summer semester, fees will be dependent on credit hours. A student is only required to pay fees for the first three ordinary semesters (fall, spring, and fall) if they finish their degree requirements within 30 days of the start of the fourth semester.
  • The cost of the summer semester is 8,000 Pakistani rupees per credit hour.
  • The entire tuition cost for three academic years—six ordinary semesters—will be borne by PhD candidates. If she or he continues to study or do research after the conventional degree period has been completed, she or he will be assessed a Bench fee of Rs. 10,000/-until the degree requirements are fulfilled.

International Students:

Payment of Student Fees:

  • There will be an annual tuition fee.
  • Extra fees will be assessed at USD 34 per year.
  • Business students (MBA, MS-HRM, EMBA, MS Logistics & Supply Chain Management, and MS Innovation & Entrepreneurship) will be assessed a Harvard Business School licensing fee, which is valued at USD 104 per year.
  • The tuition cost will then be paid via a challan form that the NUST Finance Directorate has generated. The chosen candidates will be informed of the payment schedule and structure.
  • At the time of admission, the admission processing fee and security deposit are due.
  • If the student continues to study or do research after completing the required amount of time for their degree, they will be assessed a Bench fee (registration maintenance fee) of USD 50 every semester until the requirements are fulfilled.
  • All programs will incur a summer semester fee of USD 40 per credit hour (less EMBA).
  • If money is being sent from overseas, a “SWIFT Message” from the sender bank is needed.

Campus Life and Facilities:

Among other things, NUST offers a welcoming campus community that is open to all students.
