Established in 2009 by the KPK Legislative Provisional Assembly Act, Abasyn University is accredited by Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission (HEC). The only university in KPK to receive the highest category “W” during the institution’s establishment under the previous HEC rating system was Abasyn University. With the blessings of Allah and the assistance of sponsors and employees, HEC has moved from category “W” to “W3” in the updated ranking system.

With the HEC’s approval, the Abasyn University Islamabad Campus (AUIC) provided commentary on its operations in 2012. The AUIC is dedicated to providing outstanding undergraduate and graduate education.

Eligibility Criteria:

Bachelor Programs:

• The applicant needs to meet one of the requirements listed below with an overall grade of second division or higher.

• Intermediate in the selected field of study by completing some required courses.

The following standards apply to A-level students:

• 3 Full credit courses of A Levels.

•Within two months of receiving an admissions offer, students must present an equivalency certificate from the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC).

BS Electrical Engineering (BSEE):

To be considered for admission to the BE Electrical Engineering program, a candidate must have completed Intermediate (pre-engineering) with 60% or higher.

BS in Civil Engineering (BSCE):

To be considered for admission to the BE in Civil Engineering degree, a candidate must have completed Intermediate (pre-engineering) with 60% or higher.

Pharmacy Doctor (Pharm-D)

To be considered for admission to the Pharm-D program, a candidate must have completed Intermediate (pre-medical) coursework with a grade of at least 60%.

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)

To apply for admission to the DPT program, a candidate must have 60% or higher in Intermediate (pre-medical) or its equivalent.

Selection criteria

  • Matric: 10%
  • Intermediate: 50%
  • Entry test, NTS, or any aptitude test: 40%

Master Programs:

  • The candidate must have completed a four-year Bachelor’s degree* from any accredited university, with specific courses needed for the chosen field of study. (For instance, a four-year BSc in Electrical Engineering is required for entrance to the MS in Electrical Engineering program).
  • Within the first two semesters of enrollment, candidates must submit their NTS General Test results with a minimum cumulative score of 50%. The admission office offers instructions on how to sit for the NTS exam.

The minimum marks should be 50% above for BS programs and 60% above for Engineering, Pharm-D and DPT programs. Eligibility of the applicants for admission will be determined by the department concerned keeping in view their specific admission criteria.

Required Documents:

The admission application form must be submitted with the following paperwork:

  • Filled out the application for admission.
  • All of the previously finished academic work’s mark sheets.
  • Within two months of receiving an admissions offer, an applicant who has completed coursework in a different educational system must get an Equivalency Certificate from the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC).
  • Four passport-sized photos.
  • A copy of Form B, the computerized national identity card.

Admission Test:

Abasyn University administers its own admission exam to ensure the highest possible standard of admission. The following topics are included in the entrance exam:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Logic and Analytical

Offered Scholarships:

AT THE ADDMISSION DATE:

Students who perform exceptionally well academically can receive up to 100% of their tuition fees waived as a scholarship. For students who meet the fundamental qualifying requirements according to the degree requirements for a particular discipline, the scholarships range from 10% to 100% for the first semester only.

SCHOLARSHIP BASED ON MERIT

Based on a student’s academic performance in the first semester, merit-based scholarships worth up to 30% of the tuition fee are awarded at the start of the second semester. The needed minimum GPA/CGPA to be eligible for this scholarship is 3.00.

FOR GOVT. EMPLOYEES

The university provides scholarships worth up to a 30% tuition reduction because it recognizes the financial constraints faced by government personnel pursuing master’s degrees. The grant is only available to students enrolled in master’s degrees.

RESEARCH BASED ON NEED

The need-based scholarship is intended for students who are underprivileged or have unique needs. This award is intended to help underprivileged students get access to education.

SCHOLARSHIP FOR PEOPLE FROM ORPHAN

Based on their semester results, orphan students who have a strong academic record but are having trouble paying for their expenditures can receive up to a 50% stipend.

SCHOLARSHIP FOR SPECIAL STUDENTS

The institution grants up to 50% special scholarships for deserving students because it thinks that all citizens should have equal access to opportunities. This scholarship is intended to support these students in order to enable them to make equitable contributions to our society.

KINSHIP/SIBLINGS SCHOLARSHIP

For the duration of their academic career, siblings are eligible for a 10% kinship award, which helps to ease the financial strain on families.
